New from Moser & Cie – Heritage Dual Time
Moser & Cie is one of the editorial team's favourite manufacturers. Not because they are always so easy to come by, either in terms of price or the number of watches on the market. They are a favourite because we think they create fantastic watches. We also think there is a creativity in the company that helps to enliven an otherwise rather stiff watch industry. That they have also made watches out of cheese naturally adds to the general appreciation. Now they present their latest release, the Heritage Dual Time. A watch we think is really good-looking, with dual time zones and a wonderfully autumn-red fumé dial.

They are a favourite because we think they create fantastic watches. We also think there is a creativity in the company that helps to vitalise an otherwise quite stiff watch industry. That they have in addition made watches out of cheese naturally does its bit for the general appreciation. Now they are presenting their latest release, Heritage Dual Time. A watch that we think is really delicious with dual time zones and a lovely autumn red fumé dial.
Heritage Dual Time (ref 8809-1200) is released in the coming days and the design has been inspired by pocket watches and older models from Moser that can be viewed at Moser’s museum in Schaffhausen. The case measures in at a comfortable 42mm and on the inside ticks Moser’s newly developed automatic calibre HMC 809.
What we like most however is the beautiful dial. Here Moser has really nailed the colour with a burgundy red fumé dial with a lovely sunburst effect. Generally we think the model is extremely good-looking and the colour gives almost the same warm feeling in the body as when you have just eaten a rich autumn stew. We do not have any current information on the list price but we assume that it will not be particularly cheap.
