Top 5 deals in Wristbuddy's Black Month sale
Ad · In collaboration with Wristbuddys
The sale is on and 332 products are discounted. But the discounts are in five different levels, from 10 to 60 percent, and they are not evenly distributed across the range. We have gone through the entire collection and picked out the five purchases that are actually bargains.

The first thing to understand about Black Month at Wristbuddys is that "up to 60 percent" does not mean 60 percent. The collection is in five levels: 10, 15, 20, 35 and 60 percent. The deepest discounts are on straps that are not tied to a specific watch model, or on lines that are being phased out. The most in-demand model straps are around 10 to 20 percent.
It is not strange, it is just worth knowing before you start looking. A strap at 60 percent is not necessarily a better buy than one at 20, it depends entirely on which watch is lying in the box at home.
So we sorted the entire collection by actual saving in dollars, not by percentage, and then weighed in what the product actually does. Here is the top five.
1. FKM rubber strap for IWC
$47.60 · regular $119 · you save $71.40 · 60 percent off
Sixty percent is the deepest cut in this list, and it lands on a strap that is good to begin with. It comes in nine colors and two lug widths, eighteen variants in total, and every one of them is in stock as this is written.
That it is rubber is the whole point, not a compromise. Wristbuddys mixes its FKM rubber to a recipe it has been refining for five years, and every strap is pressed for exactly 320 seconds under heat to drive out air pockets before it leaves the mold. That process is why they are willing to put a lifetime warranty on their rubber straps, which they do, and only on rubber.
On top of that comes their quick-release fitting, which they call the 5 Sec Switch, Quick-Release Springbar. Strap changes without tools.
Keep in mind: check the strap width against your watch first. The site's strap finder does it for you.

2. FKM rubber strap that attaches to the watch's own clasp, for Rolex Submariner 41
$148.85 · regular $229 · you save $80.15 · 35 percent off
Most rubber straps force a choice: either the strap or the clasp already on the watch. This one is built to attach directly to the watch's own clasp, so the clasp stays and only the strap changes.
It comes in 54 variants, meaning nine colors, two surface textures and three strap lengths, which in practice means you can get the right length instead of settling. The same strap is on sale for the Datejust 41, Explorer 40, Explorer 216570 and Oyster Perpetual 41.
This is not a $40 impulse buy, and it is not meant to be. It is a strap engineered for one specific reference, and $80 off a product like that is unusual. In dollars it is the single largest saving in the entire sale.
Keep in mind: check the reference number on your watch, not just the model name. Submariner 41 includes 126610LN and 124060LN, and that variant is not the same as the one for Datejust.

3. Strap and case for AP x Swatch Royal Pop
$152.15 · regular $179 · you save $26.85 · 15 percent off
The Royal Pop is a pocket watch. It has no traditional lugs, which means you cannot fit an ordinary watch strap to it at all. The Wristbuddys solution is a case the watch pops into, plus a strap that attaches to the case. Together they turn the pocket watch into a wristwatch.
So this is not an accessory in the usual sense, it is what decides whether the watch can be worn on the wrist or stays in a drawer. And unlike the rest of this list, it is a product that rarely goes on sale at all. Fifteen percent is the discount it gets, and that is fifteen percent more than it usually gets.
The case comes in four colors per model. If you only want the strap, without the case, it is $84.15, down from $99.
Keep in mind: Royal Pop is available in eight versions and they are divided into two crown positions, crown at 12 o'clock and crown at 3 o'clock. Choose according to your model.

4. Embossed alligator-patterned leather strap, 18 to 21 mm
$46.00 · regular $115 · you save $69.00 · 60 percent off
Four lug widths, two lengths, five colors. The leather is worked to be thin and supple while keeping its stability through how the strap is built internally, and the quick-release fitting comes mounted as standard on every leather strap, not as an option.
Under $46 for an embossed leather strap with a quick-release fitting is the easiest recommendation on the whole list, particularly for anyone who wants to try a new look without committing.
If you want the same price in a model-specific version, leather straps for the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase New Moon are at exactly the same $46.00, down from $115.
Keep in mind: the lifetime warranty applies to rubber straps, not leather. Leather is a natural material and wears out. It is no objection to the purchase, but it is the difference with point 1 and it should be said straight out.
5. CTS FKM rubber strap, 18 to 22 mm
$111.20 · regular $139 · you save $27.80 · 20 percent off
CTS stands for cut-to-size. The strap is trimmed to the right width, which gives it the curved feel against the case without being built for a single reference. Five lug widths and seven colors.
This is the strap for everyone with a watch nobody makes model-specific straps for. Microbrands, older watches, Japanese models, everything that usually ends with giving up and fitting a NATO.
Twenty percent is no shock discount. But it is the product on this list that solves the most problems per dollar, and the one the most people can actually use.
Keep in mind: the cut-to-size is permanent. Measure before you cut.
