Zenith presented new versions of the Chronomaster Sport and Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar during LVMH Watch Week in Miami where one is more glamorously lovely with diamonds and the other is more traditionally delightful.

Zenith Chronomaster Sport
The Chronomaster Sport is expanded with two new models, a watch in lovely green and one in gold with diamonds. It is three years since the Chronomaster Sport was introduced and which stands as a big change for the company, just as the El Primero movement did and which was launched as early as 1969. It is interesting that they release two new pieces that are so extremely different from each other but also wonderfully cool with their different characters. The size for both is 41 mm and we start with the green one just because it stands out in such a lovely cheeky way.

As I just mentioned, the size is 41 mm so it is a proper watch, the case and bracelet are in steel. The dial has a green lacquered surface and combined with that smartly a case ring in green ceramic. What really lifts this watch is that the smaller dials for the chronograph functions are three-coloured, which is also a hallmark of the model, it does a lot for the whole. Because it would not have had the same effect if all three dials had had the same colour. It gives a pleasant crontrast to the green.

It is equipped with the latest version of their automatic movement El Primero 3600 which has been given an extended power reserve of 60 hrs. The water resistance is to 100 m. The back is also open so you can see the lovely movement. Of the green model there are two versions, one with a steel bracelet, three-piece where the outer parts have a brushed finish and the middle parts are polished bright. The other is with a green integrated rubber strap which is perfect for those who want to go "all in" with the green. Both bracelets have a folding clasp.

The other new release in the Chronomaster Sport collection is the first stone-set version so now we move entirely over to the one that is considerably more exclusive with a lovely twist. The watch's case and bracelet are in rose gold which gives a warm and beautiful tone. To that the model has a dial of meteorite which is gold-coloured as well as a pattern called Windmanstätten.

Beyond the gold colour the index markers are also set with baguett-cut diamonds which also takes us on to the case ring which is incredibly delightfully adorned with set baguette-cut diamonds, black spinels as well as grey and blue sapphires. The colour choices of the stones match nicely with the colour scheme of the small chronograph dials. The automatic movement is the same as in the green one, El Primero 3600. So the new releases in the Chronomaster Sport are two watches that have the same movement but a different look on the outside.
So both versions are in themselves very strong characters that assert themselves in a cool way. Since it comes in a gold garb with stones it has a price tag of 1 207 100 kronor.

Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
Now to the more traditional look of watch, six new Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar. Which have a delightful vintage look. As early as 1970 25 prototypes were produced of the El Primero triple calendar with moon phase where they used the same case as the first Chronomaster Original from 1969 which is called the A386. But there was no continuation of it at that time, instead a decision was taken that it would have to wait since the original chronograph was so good and got to take the space instead. After that a number of triple calendars have been launched but not in the same lovely style as the original. So it is extra fun that the new one is now precisely in size 38 mm, height 13 mm, in vintage-inspired style in exactly the same size and the same proportions as the A386 from 1969.

There are three variants, a white one with a classic "panda look" as well as a grey one that is more clean-lined and for those who like colour the last variant is in green. All three can be had with a steel bracelet as well as with a strap in calfskin where the white version has a black strap, the grey has dark blue and the green has a green strap. The newly developed automatic movement caliber 3610 has a power reserve of 60 hrs. Beyond the small dials that are for the chronograph functions, the triple calendar complication shows the day via a window at 10 o'clock and the month via a window at 2 o'clock, the moon phase is placed in the middle of the smaller dial at 6 o'clock. The date is shown via a window at 4.30. The hands for hour and minute are gold-plated and have Super-LumiNova.

It is a smart chronograph with a triple calendar complication and what really speaks for this one is the historical connection which also means that it has a very pleasant size of 38 mm for being so advanced. The price with bracelet is 165 100 kronor and with a strap in calfskin 158 900 kronor.
