Manual chronograph from Nezumi Studios
That Swedish Nezumi Studios would release a mechanical chronograph version of one of its racing chronographs is for many a long-awaited piece of news. Nezumi's popular and well-built chronograph watches have until now been equipped with mecaquartz movements from Seiko but now they are giving a preview of their Voiture model in mechanical form. That it is also a manual chronograph with a quality movement from Swiss Sellita doesn't make things worse. Eqotime has taken a quick look.

Mechanical watches are nothing new for Nezumi. Previously they have had the affordable diver model Baleine with an automatic Seiko movement and it's no secret that they have long aimed to also offer mechanical chronographs. And now, just in time for the company's 10th anniversary, the time has come. Early in the year they are releasing a mechanical version of the Voiture model with a manual movement. The movement is the proven Sellita cal. SW510 Mb and the result is a really nice chronograph without a date that comes in three colorways.

The model is limited to 300 individually numbered pieces and all come on a jubilee link. That the movement is manual doesn't just feel completely right for a racing chronograph. It also makes it possible to keep the thickness of the watch down which gives it good dimensions considering the case size of 40 mm. And after having tried it IRL we can confirm that it sits really nicely on the wrist. The exact release date is not entirely fixed but we assume that these, like other special models from Nezumi, will sell out incredibly fast. So don't rest on the hammer once it's possible to place an order. More info about the watch and the release can be found at Nezumi.
