The Fifty Fathoms model has been released in several different versions over the years and now Blancpain is under way with yet another one. This time it is a limited edition of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscape that goes under the name Mokarran and is released in only 50 pieces.

Blancpain's Fifty Fathoms is one of the manufacturer's best known models with a long history from diving. Something that has led to the vintage pieces of Blancpain's diver's watches being both hard to come by and popular in collector circles. The Fifty Fathoms model has been released in several different versions over the years and now Blancpain is going again with yet another one. This time it is a limited edition of the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscape that goes by the name Mokarran and is released in only 50 pieces.
The release is part of BOC – Blancpain Ocean Commitment where the manufacturer runs and supports various projects linked to ocean environmental issues. The name and the connection to the new model comes from Mokarran Protection Society. An organisation that works with mapping and preservation of hammerhead sharks in French Polynesia. Blancpain donates a full 1000 USD per watch sold to the project. This on top of their existing support.
The model itself measures 43,6mm and comes with a green bezel and matching green sunburst dial. Delivered on nato. Eqotime’s editorial team presses the like button, Mokarran is a treat!
