Omega made a bold and exciting choice by launching a new model of the Seamaster Aqua Terra without announcing this in advance via press releases or the like, instead they seized the opportunity and showed the novelty on Armand Mondo Duplantis' wrist when he carried out his outstanding effort at the Olympics.

Duplantis has been an ambassador for Omega since 2020. His performance at the Olympics in Paris is fantastic, where he both took home the gold and set a world record in pole vault at 6,25 metres. He made the whole world hold its breath when he performed his jump, which created history. Omega made a smart and stylish move by making sure that he wore the new model which is moreover in the Swedish colours.

The watch has a case in titanium, specifically sandblasted gamma titanium in size 41 mm and with a height of 13,55 mm – a perfect material for an elite athlete who needs ultra-light accessories during competition. The titanium also gives a good-looking matt surface which is combined with a bezel in silicon nitride. The dial is also in titanium (Grade 5) and blue, with horizontal lines where the seconds hand, the Seamaster logo, the minute markings at 30 and 60 as well as Omega's logo on the crown are in decorative yellow. The hour and minute hands have Super-LumiNova.

The back is open and shows the manual movement calibre 8928 Ti, which is partly made in titanium. It is a very decorative and handsome movement, with a power reserve of 72 hours, which makes the open back extra appealing. The watch is water resistant down to 150 metres.

The integrated bracelet in blue and yellow is made of both rubber and textile. This is an elegant tribute to Armand Mondo Duplantis, who really wrote history with his Olympic gold and world record. The watch may be thought to be attractive for collectors who burn for the sport and Omega's Seamaster Aqua Terra, for the model has a price of 677 800 kronor. (Ref. 220.92.41.21.03.002).
