Tomorrow, the 2nd of May, it is time for a watch auction at Kaplans Auktioner. An auction filled to the brim with loads of lovely quality watches. Ahead of the auction Eqotime asked Kaplans' watch specialist Georgios Batselas to, together with his colleagues, pick out a few favourites.

– My first tip is a fine Longines, says Georgios. Perfect for anyone who wants a good-looking chronograph in a vintage style but does not want to think about the maintenance. This one was bought in May 2019 and still has the warranty left.

– Another fine and fairly new watch that is in the catalogue is an IWC Fliegeruhr chronograph. This one with a blue dial, which is a bit unusual, more common that we see black and white. This one too with cert and box, sold August 2016.

– Sjöö Sandström tends to always be popular at our auctions, Georgios continues. And this time we also have a Royal Steel in it. This particular model celebrates 25 years since the start in 1993 and is limited to 100 watches made. The red dial clearly stands out and the watch was sold in April this year.

– Seiko is becoming ever more popular outside the most hardcore watch circles too. This ”Tuna” in as-new condition was sold in April this year and only in a limited edition of 800 pieces with Seiko's own treated case (Cermet). A good buy for anyone who likes the brand and diving, reckons Gerogios.

Georgios' last tip is a considerably older watch. – This is a cool Omega Officer from 1943 with a matching period display. The set really is something for the Omega lover and the vintage nerd.

The auction at Kaplans takes place on the 2nd of May and bids can already be placed online now. More info about the auction you will find here.
