Trump releases watch collection

The USA's former president and likewise current presidential candidate Donald J. Trump is releasing a new watch collection, the thing that stands out the most is a tourbillon for 100 000 dollars. 

During the year presidential candidate Donald J. Trump has released a bible, golden shoes and now also a watch collection. It is two collections that are being released, a tourbillon and one that the undersigned at least would categorise as a ”diver”. 

If we start by taking a slightly closer look at the diver, which by the way is called the ”fighter. This one comes in three versions. One gold-toned with a black onyx dial, a two-tone in gold and steel with a black dial and one in steel with a red dial. The movement is unspecified and is described as an automatic movement with date. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters, or 100 meters dependings on which version you buy, and is 42 mm wide and 12,5 mm thick. The dial has the text Trump at 12 o'clock and his autograph at 6 o'clock. The back too is dedicated to Trump with the picture that was taken shortly after he survived the assassination attempt earlier this year.

Dials: Onyx (Limited to 1000 examples), black and red. 

Material: The Onyx dial comes in gold-plated steel, the others in steel.

Thickness. 12.5mm

Pricce: 799 dollars for the Onyx version, 500 dollars for the others. 

For those who want to spend a little more on Trump watches a tourbillon is also released for the offensive price of 100 000 dollars. The watch consists of solid 18 carat gold, 122 VS1 diamonds and a TX07 tourbillon. The watch has a power reserve of 105 hours and comes in three versions, one in yellow gold with a black dial, one in yellow gold and champagne dial as well as one in rose gold with a dial in the same colour. Other specification is not stated on the official website. The watch is released in 147 examples and the back will be engraved with a personal greeting from the ex-president. 

At the time of writing it is unclear exactly who is behind the movements apart from the fact that the watch has the ”Swiss Made” stamp, but regardless it is an interesting move by the presidential candidate and it says something about the last few years' upswing for watches in general.
