The ladies' watch with everything on it! MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT Day and Night.

Last year's most beautiful ladies' watch, in my opinion, was without doubt the LM Flying T from MB&F. The diamond-strewn timekeeping jewel won unchallenged in the category "Best Ladies Complication" at the GPHG. That it is MB&F's first ladies' watch makes the matter even better. Getting full marks at the first attempt is not bad.

Just very recently, almost exactly a year after that launch, we see two series of the model where the number of diamonds per watch has been reduced to one stone, though a large one.

Eighteen pieces with a case in rose gold and eighteen pieces in platinum are in production. This time it is elegance and a focus on the purity of the design that attracts, plus the fact that on top of the flying tourbillon there sits a diamond.

The dials for both models are this time not lacquered but decorated with guilloché technique carried out by hand in Kari Voutilainen's watchmaking atelier, which since 2011 has been a supplier to MB&F. The pattern on the dials is executed so that all eyes are carried to the tourbillon, and in the case of rose gold it is black as the night (night) and in the platinum case it is bright blue (day) like the Swedish summer.

The tilted little subdial with hands still sits at seven o'clock, which makes it very easy to read for the wearer. The tilt is 50 degrees, it is white lacquered and the hands in serpentine form are of course blue.

Through the sapphire crystal of the back case the generous, sunshine-shaped rotor with sculpted sunrays that gives 100 hours = four days of power reserve, which drives the movement and the flying tourbillon, is clearly visible. On top of that complication sits, as mentioned, a diamond and the remarkable thing about it is that it rotates in unison with the underlying mechanism.

The movement contains 280 parts, the case is 38.5 mm in diameter, 20 mm high and water resistant to 30 metres. For a strap you can choose between calfskin or alligator and the prices are set at 91 000 euro for gold and 100 000 for the platinum version plus taxes. If it tastes good it costs, you could say.
