Swedish GoS Watches and Martin Key in exciting collaboration

In early 2024 a meeting took place between Patrik Sjögren from GoS Watches and the fashion designer Martin Key. They quickly realised that their shared passion for craftsmanship and feeling for details could lead to something extraordinary. The result ”GoS design by Martin Key” is a watch that reflects both men's feeling for design and craftsmanship.

Being uncompromising demands courage, where the choice of materials and the design make the result unique. Patrik Sjögren has long experience of making movement parts by hand, including crowns, dials and distinctive hands, and gives them a refined final finish. Patrik Sjögren is known by collectors and watch enthusiasts, far beyond Sweden's borders, for his watches with special design above all on dials and cases. And it is with passion and determination that Martin Key's craftsmanship, attention to detail and storytelling in clothes show the broad spectrum of creativity that he possesses. Martik Key’s leather jackets and acessories also have a very distinct design and are loved by many well-known customers both within Sweden and abroad.

With all of this in their baggage the guys decided that a watch could become a good result of their joint striving for solid craftsmanship in combination with exceptional design. Said and done, today the watch GoS design Martin Key is a reality. It contains parts of Martin Key's design elements and choice of colours together with unique dials in Damascus steel and familiar design elements from GoS. The finished watch is machined and assembled by Patrik Sjögren in the GoS Atelier in Linköping.

The octagon, which has become a hallmark in Martin Key's design language and has followed him since day one. It is now found in the model's case, which has an inner ring in 18 carat gold in the shape of a bevelled octagon where the indexes are shown with four purple and eight black diamonds. They represent Martin Key’s colour palette for his products, which for the most part are in black, gold and purple.

Gos Watches

GoS is the first watch brand in the premium class to work with Damascus steel, a type of steel characterised by a distinct pattern and outstanding strength. It has a rich history going back to ancient civilisations and was praised for its beauty and durability. GoS introduced watches with pattern-welded details in Damascus steel as early as 2008.

Every dial for GoS design Martin Key is unique and on the caseback there is one more well-known design element from Martin Key: the zip.

The technical specifications for the watch are based on the second edition of the collection GoS Sarek. The movement G101 is made according to GoS specifications, including an anthracite finish and equipped with a skeletonised and bevelled rotor with purple.

The first 2024 edition is limited to four examples, after that eight examples will be made annually. The watches will be on sale exclusively in Martin Key's shop in Stockholm as well as in GoS Watches' atelier in Linköping and on 22 November they will be in place. The price is 18 000 USD (plus tax). They are engraved with ”0X/04” to indicate that each watch is a unique piece with a serial number for each year. They are delivered in an octagon-shaped box of blackened hardwood with leather details from Martin Key.
