Spring news from German Sinn Spezialuhren
The German watch maker Sinn from Frankfurt is probably a familiar face to most of our readers. The company has a long history of making robust divers and pilot’s watches at a humane price. Now, as spring approaches, it is introducing 5 new models that we at Eqotime have put together.

The German watch manufacturer Sinn from Frankfurt is probably a familiar face for most of our readers. They have a long history of making robust divers' watches and pilots' watches for a humane price tag. Now towards spring they are introducing 5 new models that we at Eqotime have compiled.
Sinn T50 – new divers in titanium
We of course start with the new collection of divers' watches in titanium, T50. Sinn introduces 3 different variants and a completely new alloy of what they call Goldbronze i.e. a combination of gold and bronze that they have applied for a patent for. According to Sinn this alloy is even more resistant to corrosion than traditional bronze alloys used within the watch industry and should not age (and patinate) as quickly. This thanks to the amount of gold they have used in the alloy. The watch is also allergy-friendly to the extent that the case back is made in titanium and therefore no nickel is found in the watch.
T50 GOLDBRONZE is the model with a case entirely in this special alloy and a limited edition of 300 watches. The dial has an interesting surface finish that is meant to reflect some form of patina from the bronze, where every dial becomes unique in its appearance. The Swedish list price for the Sinn T50 Goldbronze is 56,890 kronor.
T50 GBDR combines a case and bracelet in titanium (or a rubber strap) with a rotating bezel in Goldbronze. The model has a matte black dial and is not limited. The price tag for the model on the titanium bracelet lands at 46,990 kronor and on the rubber strap 47,490 kronor.
T50 is the model entirely without elements of Goldbronze. This model too is delivered on a bracelet in titanium or a rubber strap and costs 38,290 kronor and 38,790 kronor respectively.
Common to all of the watches are the size and the movements. All models in the T50 collection have 41mm large cases that are 12,3mm thick, a screwed crown at 4 o'clock, a rotating bezel that has to be pressed down before it can be turned and the stable automatic movement SW300-1 from Sellita. The models are also water resistant down to 500m.
Sinn U50 DS
The U50 collection is a well-liked collection at Sinn and now for spring it gets a new and limited addition in the form of the model U50 DS. The model will be made in 1,000 examples where in this case too every dial becomes unique in its appearance. Case and bracelet are made in German, tegimented, submarine steel that is sandblasted. Something Sinn is well known for using. The tegimenting results in a better resistance against scratches
The case measures in this case too 41mm in diameter and is 11,2mm thick. Inside ticks Sellita's SW300-1 and the watch is water resistant down to 500m. The Swedish list price for the model on the bracelet is 33,890 kronor and on the rubber strap 32,990 kronor.
Sinn U1 S Mother-of-Pearl S
Last out among the spring news is yet another classic model in a limited version. This version of Sinn's U1 comes in an all-black version where the German submarine steel has been given a black coating and a dial in mother-of-pearl.
The model is a bit heftier in its execution and has a case that measures 44mm in diameter and is 14,7mm thick. Inside ticks the Sellita SW200-1 and in this case the watch is water resistant down to a full 1,000m.
The Sinn U1 S Mother-of-Pearl S is a limited edition of 300 examples and it has a Swedish list price of 36,990 kronor on the bracelet or 35,290 kronor on the rubber strap.
