New Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 XPS
The steady trend for salmon pink dials continues and now it is time for Chopard to launch a completely new colour in the Alpine Eagle line in 41 mm. The dial's pink colour has been named Monte Rosa Pink and, as with their earlier models, it is a link to the Alps.

The steady trend with a salmon pink dial continues and now it is time for Chopard to launch a completely new colour in the Alpine Eagle series in size 41 mm. The dial's pink colour has been given the name Monte Rosa Pink and like their earlier models it is a connection to the alps. The Monte Rosa area lies on the border between Italy and Switzerland where Dufourspitze/Punta Dufour is the highest peak in Switzerland.

But it is not only the colour that is the big news, it is also that the model has a smaller dial for seconds display with stop function placed at 6 o'clock. The dial's design, with the extra sub-dial at 6 o'clock, was launched last year on the model Flying Tourbillon. The heart consists of Chopard's own automatic movement L.U.C 96.40-L which is impressively thin, only 3.30 mm high. It therefore qualifies as an elegant sports watch that sits extremely well on the wrist thanks to it being so thin. But also because of the nice twist and the style with screws on the case ring, the iris pattern on the dial and the integrated bracelet. In addition the model is water resistant to 100 m precisely like the Flying Tourbillon.

The base is in Chopard's own steel quality – Lucent steel A223 – where the mix consists of 85% recycled material specially developed by Chopard which is also anti-allergic. The integrated bracelet is also in Lucent steel A223 and has both satin-brushed and polished good-looking surfaces.
The hands and indices are in white gold with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova which gives 60% more light effect than ordinary Super-LumiNova and is at the same time more resistant to ageing. The movement is a certified chronometer movement which is clearly shown in text under the logo on the dial. Thanks to the movement's double wheels with Chopard Twin Technology the movement has a power reserve of 65 hrs.

The model has an open back where you can see the delicious micro-rotor in gold as well as the beautiful Côtes de Geneva pattern on the movement parts. In addition all components are certified by Poinçon de Genève which guarantees that the movement holds the highest level within the watchmaking craft. Others who make use of this certification are among others, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Roger Dubuis and Ateliers de Monaco. In addition to the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon this is Chopard's second model in the collection that has received this certification.
The colour suits the watch very well, it is good-looking against the steel and feels right for the times. Suits the one who likes the model Alpine Eagle and has wanted to wear the model but perhaps thought that the colours have not appealed enough. Monte Rosa Pink is a standout and above all it is a colour that is extremely trendy and it debuts at Chopard with the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS.
