For anyone who has grown tired of battery changes, waiting for charging or has a lack of sunlight, the technology in the Matrix Powerwatch 2 might be a solution. Matrix makes use of something called thermoelectric. A technology that NASA has used for several decades and which in short converts heat into electricity. In this case the heat source is the human body.
This could be exciting to follow since the watch never needs to be plugged in and charged, it is enough that you wear it and then it gets all the energy it needs. The watch has just jumped out of its crowdfunding from Indiegogo and among MATRIX functions good things are promised such as a heart rate monitor, GPS, full screen display, calorie measurement, notifications and training functions. But the interesting thing is the thermoelectric technology which could actually be revolutionary for the whole smartwatch industry.
